MTN Welcome Back is an Offer to welcome MTN customers that have been away or inactive on the network for a while. On MTN welcome offer, you get a data bonus and voice bonus of up to 12 times the value of what you recharged for recharges between N50 to N1500.
So a recharge of N100, for instance, using the recharge code *161*recharge PIN#, will give you a N900 voice bonus and a N300 data bonus. You also get special data bundles with amazing discounts.
The welcome back offer is available to only customers who have been away or have not performed any form of chargeable activities on the network for at least 15 days. Chargeable activities include anything that requires airtime or data charged from your account, such as calls, SMS, browsing, etc.
Also, customers that have not used data on the network for at least 60 days also qualify for the MTN welcome back offer. To enjoy the MTN welcome back offer, you must be a customer that has been on the network for at least 60 days.
To get the 12 times bonus on recharge, use the welcome back recharge code, *161* recharge PIN #. you will get 12 times the recharge value plus data bonus. Recharges above N1,500 or less than N50 will not give you any welcome back bonus. Customers who are not eligible will not get any bonus if they use this recharge code to recharge their lines.
Furthermore, customers who have spent at least 60 days on the MTN network and have not performed any chargeable data activity in the last 60 days or more will also be able to purchase special discounted data bundles.
So how do you know you are eligible for the offer? If you are eligible for MTN welcome back offer and you recharge with the normal recharge code *555*PIN#, you will get a prompt that goes, “Yello! Get 12 times value for the next 90days! Dial *161*pin# when recharging from N50 to N1,500. Recharge N100 and get N900 for calls plus N300 for data” To check your MTN welcome back offer account balance, dial the welcome back balance code *151# and you will get a prompt containing details of your balance and bonuses and the end of validity date.
All welcome back bonuses on recharges above N100 are valid for 30 days. However, welcome back bonuses gotten from recharges below N100 are only valid for 14 days.
